Evander model brings home two crowns
Nosipho Mnguni wants to encourage other young girls to chase their dreams.
Nosipho Mnguni (15), a learner of Highveld Park High School, brought home two titles in the World League of Beauty and Fashion week held in Turkey.
Nosipho was one of the South African teenage models to take part in this event from May 7 to 17. It was Mnguni’s first time travelling overseas. She enjoyed the experience and said she did not expect to win two titles.
She was crowned as the winner of Miss Junior Queen 2026 as well as the Top Model of the Globe.
“It was a tight competition to win and I froze when they called my name. There were so many other competitors from different countries, it made me feel small,” said Nosipho.
Nosipho said between rehearsals and the competitions, they had some time to explore and it felt like a vacation.
“I liked experiencing the culture of the people in Turkey, as well as the food.
This young teen plans to open her own business soon and inspire other young girls interested in modelling.
“I want to share my knowledge and experience. The journey to Turkey taught me to never give up and I want every young girl to know to never give up on her dreams.”
She believes that hard work will help any youngster to reach their dreams.
“Do not give up, even when it gets hard, even when you feel small, even when the stage feels too big, just keep pushing and keep on going.
“Your dreams are valid and your hometown or where you come from is not a limitation; it is your foundation.
She thanked her parents for believing in her since day one and said their love, sacrifices and prayers carried her to win these titles.
Nosipho is a keen netball player for her school and the Gogetter Netball team in Evander.
She also enjoys public speaking and takes part in school competitions, and dancing at home to unwind after a long day.
