Murder suspects appear in court in Standerton

They were all charged with conspiracy to commit murder and defeating the ends of administration and appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on January 31.

A breakthrough occurred in the murder of Magogogo Nkosi, a well-known businessman from Standerton, after the arrest of Themba Zungu (42), his employee Roseline Nkosi (63), his wife Yvonne Nkosi (36), daughter and son Vusi Nkosi (41).

According to the Standerton police report, the deceased was attacked when he arrived home on August 10 last year.

He was struck with a sharp object over the head and left in a pool of blood.

Standerton EMS certified him dead outside his home.

Standerton local detectives held an operation on January 29, led by Lieutenant Colonel Simon Mthethwa. They arrested the family members and his employee.

They were all charged with conspiracy to commit murder and defeating the ends of justice. The case was postponed to February 7 for bail application.
