Burglars access pub in Standerton through roof

The pub’s cash float was stolen and tools used to execute the burglary were left on the premises.

Kasselman Security Services (KSS) was alerted of movement inside the Old Bucks Pub in Kosmospark on January 22.

Reaction arrived on the premises shortly after the alarm was activated and found that suspects had gained access to the building through the roof.

The pub’s cash float was stolen and tools used to execute the burglary were left on the premises.

This incident resembles another business burglary that happened over a month ago.

This burglary occurred at Pick n Pay Liquor on December 17.

Burglary tools left inside Old Bucks Pub.

Suspects in this incident also gained access to the building by cutting a hole in the roof.

“Though the events were similar, there is no irrefutable proof that the two incidents are linked,” Said Captain Braam Robberts, communications officer of the Standerton SAPS.

An investigation is underway.
