Man caught with crystal meth and Cat in Standerton
They searched his vehicle and confiscated 43 sachets of crystal meth weighing 43gr and four sachets of cat weighing about 11gr.
A man was arrested for possession of drugs when the Standerton SAPS K9 unit partnered with Kasselman Security Services on January 22 for an intelligence-driven operation.
A confidential informant alerted authorities about an alleged local drug dealer operating on Robbert Street, Meyerville.
The team observed the suspect in his red Ford Focus on his way to Vrede and pulled his vehicle off.
They searched his vehicle and confiscated 43 sachets of crystal meth weighing 43gr and four sachets of cat weighing about 11gr.
Sources estimated the street value of the drugs at R4 800.
The man was taken to the Standerton Police Station and charged with dealing with drugs and reckless and negligent driving.
The vehicle and drugs were booked in for evidence.
