Shooter guns down two foreign shop owners in eMbalenhle

The motive for the killing is still not clear because nothing was stolen from the shop.

Two foreigners who owned a hardware store in Ext 5, eMbalenhle, were gunned down this afternoon (February 1).

 

Constable Busisiwe Mthethwa, eMbalenhle police’s communication officer, said the two shopkeepers were at their hardware store when a black motor vehicle stopped at the shop.

 

Shots were fired from the vehicle, killing the foreigners.

 

The car then sped off.

 

The two shopkeepers were certified dead at the scene.

 

According to Mthethwa, the motive for the killing is still not clear because nothing was stolen from the shop.5
