Community assault leaves alleged thief dead in Standerton
The victim allegedly tried to steal a car radio in Ext 7 on February 1.
Seven people executing mob justice in which a man died appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
According to Captain Braam Robberts, the communications officer for the Standerton SAPS, community members caught Xoliswa Mongezi Magagula allegedly trying to steal a car radio in Ext 7 on February 1.
They assaulted him, and he died from his injuries.
The police are investigating. No more information was available at the time of going to print.
