An Evander resident was shot dead in his car along the road from eKhaya Mall in eMbalenhle to Evander last night.
Thuto Lengolo (43) was shot four times in the chest and once in the neck.
His body was found inside his red Volkswagen Polo.
Authorities believe Lengolo was on his way to Evander when someone shot him through the right back window and from the angle of the driver’s side mirror.
The victim was declared dead on the scene. He has been identified by family.
eMbalenhle police have opened a murder docket. The motive for the killing is still unknown.
