Woman in eMbalenhle finds infant’s body in plastic bag

A resident in Azania informal settlement in eMbalenhle found the body of a baby boy today (June 24).

The woman made the gruesome discovery when she peeked into a plastic bag which her dog brought home.

“I notice my dog was carrying a plastic bag around. I took the bag from the dog, but was shocked when I saw inside what appeared to be a still-born infant,” said the shack owner.

The police and the state pathologist attended to the scene and removed the tiny body while community members gathered along the fence.
