Werner Müller remains in custody for murder of wife in Secunda

The case was postponed to July 13.

Werner Müller, the man accused of murdering his wife, René Müller, mere week after their wedding, appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court today (June 25), under the legal representation of Tebogo Aphane from Aphane Attorneys.

Müller briefly appeared in the dock for a court date postponement to July 13 pending further investigations. He remains in custody.

Throughout his court appearance, Müller kept his head bowed down.

René’s body was discovered concealed in a bag in the outside room of her townhouse in Danie Theron Street on April 13. She had sustained numerous stab wounds.

The couple had been married since February.

Müller was arrested in Mozambique on April 14, after fleeing Secunda.
