Sasol Cricket Club’s pitches in Secunda abuzz

Mpumalanga Rhinos played against Limpopo Impalas in a 50 over match on Saturday.

Sasol Cricket Club hosted the CSA women’s provincial league matches on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2.

Mpumalanga Rhinos played against Limpopo Impalas in a 50 over match on Saturday. Limpopo won the match with 13 runs. They played a T20 match on Sunday with the Rhinos taking this one with five wickets.

Sasol Cricket Club was also in full flight with the two premier league teams playing a T20 double header against each other on Saturday and the two promotion league teams the same on Sunday.

In the first match on Saturday, Sasol 1 Secunda was sent in to bat first. Sasol 1 scored 183/6 in their 20 overs. Dewald Erasmus scored 122 runs off 76 balls.

Sasol 2 Bulldogs could only reply with 123/7. Vernon Fourie took four wickets for Sasol 1. Sasol 1 won the match with 57 runs.

In the afternoon match, Sasol 2 decided to bat first after winning the toss again. Sasol 2 managed to score 148/6.
Theunis Sneyders top scored with 55. Sasol 1 chased the total down in the 13th over without loss, winning with 10 wickets.

On Sunday, Sasol 3 Kinross took on Sasol 4 Griffons. Bongani Mtswagai scored 58 off 38 setting up a total of 163/3.

In reply, Sasol 4 managed to get 152 all out. Wimpie Jerling top scored with 69 runs. Kinross won the first match with 11 runs.

In the afternoon match, Sasol 4 went in to bat first. Werner Müller helped set up a total of 165 with a well-played 50 not out. This time Sasol 3 Kinross fell well short, only managing 59 in reply.
