Secunda Police need help to identify the dead

The Secunda Police need help to identify three men who died in separate violent incidents last year.

The police found the body of a man in the middle of the road between Secunda and eMbalenhle shortly after midnight on July 13. The spot where the body was recovered is close to the Esperanza Farms.

The African man was wearing black denim pants, a white and light blue Mr Price Red hoodie under a blue overall jacket, white shoes and socks.

The letters GBM are embroidered above the left top pocket of the overall jacket. The man sustained head injuries. The case number is CAS 87/7/2022.

Anyone with information on the identity of this man, or how he was killed, contact Sergeant Bonbani Mabaso on 017 624 2020 or 079 499 9010.

Also, contact Sergeant Mabaso if you have information on a murder that took place on November 30.

The deceased, an African man, was found at about 07:30 close to the fire brigade on the footpath under the bridge to Ext 22. The bridge spans over the P185.

He sustained multiple stab wounds. The victim was wearing Sasol overalls but had no identification on him.

The third man died on November 23 in an alleged altercation with a security officer near the corner of Standford Street and Nelson Mandela Drive in Secunda. The incident happened during the morning in the vicinity of Laerskool Goedehoop.

A local security company responded to a call that morning of a homeless man causing a disturbance. According to police reports, the homeless man allegedly threw rocks at the security officer.

The man died from a gunshot wound in the buttocks. The police now need to find out who he is. He is believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s.

The case number is CAS 144/11/2022.
