Cullinan cop lauded for cable thief’s conviction
Detective commended for an excellent job following the sentencing of business robbery and cable theft accused.
Detective Constable Thabiso Aphane has received commendation from Lieutenant-Colonel Christiaan Gertzen, the station commander of Cullinan SAPS, for exceptional work in an investigation into cable theft and a business robbery.
According to Sergeant Connie Moganedi, the corporate communication officer at the Cullinan SAPS, the 26-year-old accused Tinotenda Muzori stole copper cables and appliances worth R55 000 at an electrical substation in June 2021.
“Detective Constable Aphane demonstrated unwavering dedication throughout the investigation, diligently pursuing every lead that ultimately led to Tinotenda Muzori’s arrest, trial, conviction, and sentencing to six years in prison by the Cullinan Magistrate’s Court,” said Moganedi.
