Robbers target retail store in Standerton once again
Simelane went to check what was happening and noticed a man, who asked her to hand over the safe key.
Kasselman Security Services provided information on May 27 about a robbery at a national retail store in Charl Cilliers Street, Standerton.
According to KSS, four suspects armed with handguns fled towards the taxi rank. Jandré Kasselman indicated that the shocked staff needed assistance.
This is not the first time the store comes under attack. A robbery occurred in April this year and an attempted robbery in January last year.
Captain Gibi Mtsweni, communications officer of Standerton Police, indicated that the manager, Sizakele Simelane, reported for duty with her employees.

According to the report, she was busy with her work in her office when she heard a baby cry.
Simelane went to check what was happening and noticed a man, who asked her to hand over the safe key.
She answered the key was with a security company. The armed suspect instructed her to go to the office where she handed over the key.
The suspect took out a key from his pocket and opened the safe, taking about R120 000. She was also instructed to hand over the key of the cellphone display cupboard.

Simelane gave the key to him and he hit her with the firearm on her neck. All the cellphones on display were taken.
The manager and employee were told to go to the back of the shop and the suspects fled the scene. No one was seriously injured.
According to police, the Local Criminal Record Center was summoned to the scene. Altogether five suspects, wearing gloves, were involved.
One was wearing a white mask. Altogether two firearms were seen. No one has been arrested.
