Robbers gun down motorist in Leandra
His wife found him on the ground in front of the gate at her family home.

A 55-year-old man died after being rushed to the Leandra Clinic with a bullet wound on the night of May 30.
According to Constable Nontobeko Ngubeni, Leandra police spokesperson, the man travelled from Evander to Leandra to collect his wife.
Ngobeni said the wife told the police that after her husband had parked his car at the gate of her family home. she heard gunshots.
She went outside to check on what was happening and found her husband lying on the ground in front of the gate.

The wife saw her husband’s car speed off from the scene.
She screamed for help and a neighbour helper her take her husband to the local clinic where he was declared dead.
Ngobeni said the deceased had a bullet wound on the right side of his chest. His gun was also found at the scene.
Ngobeni said a murder case was opened and no arrests have been made yet.
