Accident on Bethal N17 involving bus and bakkie leaves four injured

Emergency services responded to an accident scene on the N17 Bethal highway, about 5km from the tollgate, involving a bus and a bakkie at around 7:11 this morning, June 20.

According to our sources who were on the scene the bakkie was stationed on the side of the road when the bus crashed into it.

It is alleged that the visibility, due to the glare from the sun, resulted in the bus driver not seeing the stationed bakkie.

Bethal’s Provincial Ambulance Services and ER24 attended to two injured passengers from the bakkie and the driver and a passenger from the bus.
