Secunda SAPS arrest another guard

The court postponed the case to November for further investigation.

Another local security guard from another security company faces a charge of murder.

The 29-year-old guard was allegedly at a recent scene when three men dug holes on Generaal De Wet Street, possibly to steal copper cables.

A shootout ensued, and one of the three men was shot dead. The police responded to the scene and arrested the security guard.

He appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on September 13 and was given bail of R1 500.

The case was postponed to November 17 for further investigation.
