Robbers hit house in Ext 26, eMbalenhle

Constable Busi Mthethwa said pointing a firearm and house robbery cases were opened, and no arrests were yet made.

The police in eMbalenhle seek three men who robbed a man at his house in Ext 26, eMbalenhle, on September 25.

According to Constable Busi Mthethwa, the eMbalenhle police spokesperson, the complainant was awakened by his sister screaming. He then heard a window shatter.

When he went to investigate, he saw three men outside with balaclavas over their faces.

They pointed a gun at the complainant and demanded his car keys, money and two cellphones. They also stole his sister’s plasma TV and fled in the man’s car.

The value of the goods stolen is about R231 000. Mthethwa said they had made no arrests yet.
