Criminals bomb three safes at filling station in Standerton
Two guards sustained injuries during the shoot-out and received medical attention.
Three safes at a filling station in Walter Sisulu Drive in Standerton were bombed during the night of October 9.
According to Kasselman Security Services (KSS), two of their vehicles responded and the drivers were ambushed.
Two guards sustained injuries during the shoot-out and received medical attention. They are stable at the moment.
KSS estimated that between 12 to 20 heavily armed suspects were involved.
Standerton Police were on the scene and Dashcam and bodycam footage will be used to identify the perpetrators.
The area was cordoned off.
SAPS and KSS had to wait for daybreak to do a thorough investigation of the crime scene.
It is not the first time a filling station was targeted on a Monday.
Bombing incidents happened in Kinross, Evander, eMba Mall, Standerton, Secunda, Kinross again now again in Standerton.
A security guard was shot dead during the robbery in Secunda.
