Entities arrest two burglary suspects in Standerton
KSS were met with gunfire when approaching the residence.
Kasselman Security Services (KSS) responded to a house robbery on Sydney de Lange Street, Stanwest, on October 17.
According to KSS, the alarm went off, and the community, the SAPS and their reaction officers responded.
The communications officer of the Standerton Police, Captain Gibi Mtsweni, indicated in a police report that a 58-year-old woman heard the bell ring and saw a domestic worker.
She opened the gate with a remote and saw a man clothed in black standing next to the fence. One man walked toward the domestic worker and pointed a firearm at her.

The suspect instructed the complainant to open the gate. He hit her hands with the firearm when she tried to close the gate. Once inside the kitchen, the suspects told her domestic worker and them to lie down.
Three other suspects entered the house and asked who else was inside and where they kept money.
The woman told them it was only the three of them. However, she managed to send a message to a WhatsApp group requesting help.
The woman told the suspects she did not have money. The suspects took a crowbar to break the kitchen door leading to the locked house.

About 10 minutes later, three suspects ran to the kitchen, saying KSS had arrived. All the suspects ran out of the house, and the woman quickly locked the kitchen door.
According to the report, one suspect, wearing a black and grey jacket, ran to the back of the house while the other suspect was still inside.
The one wearing a black and grey jacket had three firearms. The shootout left one suspect shot in the left hand. The stolen items include a Samsung TV, a driver’s licence and R1 000 cash.
Two suspects were arrested, and two are still at large. The case is under investigation by local detectives.
