Ward 100 choir blesses people’s hearts while on tour through Europe

The choir is now halfway through the tour, with their destinations being Holland and Stuttgart.

The Ward 100 choir, consisting of talented children from informal settlements, has embarked on a remarkable journey of spreading Christmas cheer all over Europe.

These young performers, who have never experienced flying in an aeroplane or witnessing the beauty of snow, are now seizing the opportunity to perform at various prestigious venues, such as Christmas markets, churches and civic centres.

As the tour progresses, the incredible response they have received so far overwhelms the children. Their highlight is the joy they bring to people through their performances.

Ward 100 Clr Johannes Bekker said, “It is heart-warming to witness the love and appreciation they receive from audiences across different cities.”

The choir is now halfway through the tour, with their destinations being Holland and Stuttgart.

“The children are eagerly looking forward to these upcoming performances, and I am certain they will continue to captivate audiences with their talent and dedication,” said Bekker

During their journey, the children also had the chance to visit the Cathedral of Cologne, which left them in awe of its grandeur and beauty.

Bekker encourages residents to join in celebrating the magic of Christmas carols by attending one of their future performances.

“Your presence would mean the world to these young artists as they continue to inspire and spread joy during the festive season,” said Bekker.
