Standerton parkrun sees large turnout
Bongane Mpokane reached the finish line in a time of 19:17, Tshiamo Lephoto clocked in at 23:30, and Welcome Ndlangisa at 23:36, a new personal best.
Altogether, 105 participants took on the parkrun on March 23, with 18 athletes improving their times and 10 newcomers joining.
Standerton River Park hosts this free event, offering runners, joggers and walkers the chance to compete against themselves.

Janko van der Linden completed the distance in an improved time of 24:44, Rodrique van der Voort registered a new personal best of 25:12, and Parth Jayram recorded 25:38.
Christo Tities ran a new personal best of 25:41, Wassie Rossouw recorded 26:51, Zakkai Wessels 27:14, Ayanda Dlamini 28:22 and Petra Fischer 28:39.
Conrie Roets, Elna Vermaak, Jakobus van der Linden, Leandri van Wyk, Lia Niemand, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Lydia Roets, Renette de Sousa, Richard van der Linden, Theo Schönfeldt and Zeldine Strydom assisted run director Charl van Wyk.
The volunteers make the parkrun a safe and smooth event.
