Help police find relatives of people who died in Evander and eMbalenhle

Cops need help in identifying four bodies.

The police need the community’s help to locate the families of four dead people.

In these cases, the police found a body with no identification of who the person was.

The Evander police seek the family of a man found dead near the post office last February. According to Evander SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Zukiswa Mxhotyelwa, the body remains unclaimed in the government mortuary in Evander.

The barefooted deceased was aged 30 to 35 years and wore blue jeans and a black T-shirt.

Mxhotyelwa said anyone with information could call Detective Sergeant Mongezi Bhembe on 071 281 9135 or 017 631 8246.

In eMbalenhle, three bodies remain unclaimed.

The body of a man in his 50s was found next to house 1165 in Ext 2 on August 12, 2022. He wore a short-sleeved black or grey T-shirt and long black tracksuit pants and had three stars tattooed on his left upper arm.

Anyone who can help find the man’s relatives can call Detective Captain Chris Venter on 082 499 4387. The case number is Cas104/08/ 2022.

In another case, the community assaulted a man on April 27 last year. The victim, about 28 years old, succumbed to his injuries. This unknown man has “Hands & Guns” tattooed on his right upper chest and both arms.

Anyone with information about his identity and his family’s whereabouts can call the investigating officer on 079 323 3077. The case number is Cas 203/04/2024.

The body of a man assaulted and left for dead was found at about 17:30 in Ext 19, eMbalenhle, on May 19 last year.

He was found wearing only blue underwear.
