Suikerbekkie members got an early start on their Christmas baking creations during the first of a two-part 3D cookie-decorating workshop held at the NG Goedehoop Rots building on September 9.

The workshop focused on fine piping techniques and creating delicate miniature 3D Christmas decorations.
Members carefully piped festive designs, including Christmas trees, gingerbread men, snowmen, reindeer, Father Christmas and other seasonal figures.

Printed templates were placed inside Bantex bags to guide the intricate piping, making it easier to remove the completed decorations once they had fully dried.

The handmade 3D decorations will be used during the group’s next meeting, where members will assemble and decorate iced Christmas cookies using the pieces they created.

The second workshop session will take place on October 14.
