Evander High School’s first boys hockey team finishes third in Mpumalanga finals

They are competing at the Noordvaal tournament this weekend (August 4 - 6).

What an end to the school’s hockey season for the first team hockey boys who competed at the Mpumalanga hockey finals at Hoërskool Ermelo on July 23.

The team claimed third place overall in the province.

The first team are now preparing for the Noordvaal Tournament at Zwartkop High School where they will be competing from August 4 to 6.

The school wishes the boys all the best in their upcoming games at Noordvaal and congratulated the team on their third-place win in the province.

The U/16 girls played against Hoërskool Kriel at Evander High School on July 21, and dominated a win of 6–0, winning their league.

The first team girls drew 1–1, where they then went to a sudden death and lost to Hoërskool Hendrina’s scoring.

Despite the loss, the first team ended second in their league.

EHS’s U/16 hockey girls beat Hoërskool Kriel 6–0 in a match played on July 21 at Evander High School and also won the league. With the U/16 is coach Justin Muneri.
