I would like to thank the community for their donations.

I have received different essential items after my story was published in the Standerton Advertiser on 13 June.

These include groceries and blankets. The blankets have really come in handy because it has been a every cold winter. All the food that people have donated to us, has helped a great deal.

We do not go to bed on empty stomachs anymore.

I also recently began receiving my disability grant and my sister and I can buy enough food for both of us, as well as coal and wood to keep warm.

I am still struggling with my leg, but continue to attend local clinics in Sakhile for medical assistance.
