We as the tenants of the shops in the CBD in Secunda want to request the police to remove the hawkers who are blocking the roads with their flea markets.
These guys from Zimbabwe are occupying the whole walking passage in front of Jet, FNB, Geen & Richards and Fashion World illegally.
We have sent several letters to the municipal manager of the Govan Mbeki Municipality, as well as to other municipal officials, but to no avail.
It seems as if nobody from the municipality wants to pay attention to this extremely serious problem.
We know the police will solve this problem and we request the police to please investigate the CBD and see what is going on.
These hawkers are increasing daily and our customers feel uneasy to walk and the beauty of the CBD is also deteriorating daily.
We hope the police will help us to resolve this problem.
Our customers are tired of the situation as well.
