Thistle Grove FC draws with Mpumalanga Stars
Thistle Grove’s assistant coach, Mr Bongani Msikili, was pleased with his players’ performance.
KINROSS – Thistle Grove and Mpumalanga Stars drew 1-1 during the Safa Promotional League at Kinross Sasol Club on Saturday, 31 October.
The first half was tough and both teams struggled to score goals.
Thistle Grove dominated ball position in the second half and Mpho (Stuto) Mvelase scored a goal.
Mpumalanga Stars equalised five minutes before the final whistle with a goal by Thando Magxala.
Mr Brian Lottering, coach of the Mpumalanga Stars, said he was not satisfied with the results.
“We had a game plan, but did not stick to it.
“Our players made too many mistakes.
“We will have to go back to the drawing board as we prepare to face the Shining Stars next weekend.
“Every team is a tough team, but we have to make sure that we win our next game,” said Mr Lottering.
