Mpumalanga Eagles girls hockey team soar high
Danel Olivier, Pricilla Oosthuizen and Drew Goatley were invited to join Vision Sport Elite for a tour to Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris.
SECUNDA – The Mpumalanga Eagles girls hockey team participated in the Northern Regional Festival on 23 and 24 June that was hosted in Volksrust.
They played six games of which they won five and drew one.
Izandrie Clarke was recently awarded the Goalie of the Tournament in Cape Town during an indoor hockey tournament.
Roné van der Merwe also qualified as a hockey umpire.
Danel Olivier, Pricilla Oosthuizen and Drew Goatley were invited to join Vision Sport Elite for U/14 and U/15 hockey players for a tour to Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris.
The team will be participating in an interprovincial tournament in Polokwane from 5 to 8 August.
Their coach, Mr Marius Herbst, is excited about this talented team and thanked Builders Warehouse Secunda for their sponsorship.
The team still needs sponsorships for the Polokwane tour.
