Sondela FC wins over Thistle Grove
Sondela FC capitalised on Thistle Grove backline short comings.
LEBOHANG – Sondela FC beat Thistle Grove over the weekend with 4-1.
Sondela FC’s middle fielder, Andile Khumalo, scored the first goal within five minutes of the first half.
His goal came after Thistle Grove players stopped chasing the ball thinking it was an off side against Sondela.
Thistle Grove had the most possession in the first half and showed skills of building the ball and team work, while Sondela FC had the fastest players who in turn frustrated their opponents.
Thistle Grove had many shots at goals but struggled to finish them off.
Sondela FC capitalised on Thistle Grove’s backline short comings and counter attacked to score goals.
Thistle Grove scored a goal within the first half of the match and equalised the score to 1-1.
Andile Khumalo scored the second goal for Sondela FC during the second half.
Lindo Mthimunye of Sondela FC was replaced by Sam Ndlovu who scored the third goal.
Thistle Grove also made a replacement where Vusi Nhlapo was replaced by his twin brother, Jabu Nhlapo.
Thuso (Chenene) Skosana wowed the crowd with his dribbling skills used as delay tactics to waste the time before he could score the fourth goal for Sondela FC.
Sondela FC’s striker, Bafana Zulu, was man of the match.
