Marco’s Pool Club secures home semi-finals
Local pool players score a home semi-final and will play on 25 September.
SECUNDA – Marco’s Pool Club has secured both home semi-finals based on their excellent performance on 11 September.
This past weekend, Marco’s Pool Club beat Marco’s Double Black team and Phatboys Vikings from Ermelo.
Altogether 30 teams from Mpumalanga have been participating in the Mpumalanga Cue Sport World Rules League since March and the season is now drawing to a close with the finals approaching.
Clubs from as far as Middelburg, Witbank, Hendrina, Ermelo and Secunda have battled it out in this prestigious 22-year-old competition.
Marco’s Vipers and Marco’s Legends have secured top spots in their respective leagues and qualified for the last 16 knock-outs.
Results from the past weekend showed the passion and commitment of the local teams, with Marco’s Legends beating Marco’s Double Black with a final score of 13-5.
Komati Vatikaki from Komati Power Station lost with a score of 7-13 against Eat Sum More Titans from Middelburg.
Marco’s Vipers also held their club’s name high with a victory of 13-9 against the team of Phatboys Vikings from Ermelo.
Gringo’s Killers beat Gringo’s Flaming with a final score of 13-4.
Both teams are from Hendrina.
Thanks to their victories, Marco’s Vipers and Marco’s Legends will be participating in the semi finals on 25 September at Marco’s Pool Club in Secunda.
The games begin at noon.
