Gold Mine draws with Tweefontein
The second match in the open category was a tough one as both teams were dominating the game.
EVANDER – Tweefontein Mine played against Evander Gold Mine in the Mpumalanga Collieries Human Resources Association League (MCHRA).
The first match was between the two mines in the masters category and the second one was in the open category.
Both matches were played on Sunday, 11 September at the home ground of Evander Gold Mine.
The masters category match ended with a one-all draw.
Mr Fani Mamba, Evander Gold Mine’s coach said it was a fair game though they were unlucky to not score more goals.
“We lost many chances in the first half,” he said.
Tweefontein Mine’s coach said they played well and that his team did not play to its full potential, because some of the players were not present due to work commitment.
He also said that he was happy that they got one point.
The second match in the open category was a tough one as both teams were dominating the game.
Evander Gold Mine dominated the first goal and they even managed to score two goals before the half time whistle.
Bhara Mdolomba and Jabu Qezu were the goal scorers for the Evander Gold Mine.
The goalkeeper of Evander Gold Mine, Masimbulele Mabandla, had incredible saves for his team in the first half, while his captain lost many goal-scoring chances.
Tweefontein came back with full force in the second half and their first goal was scored by Vuyo Mtsweni.
Xolani Nkosi equalised the score when he shot the second goal into the net for his team.
