Jimmies hosts golf day with the aim of improving sports facilities
Funds generated on the day, will be used to enable the school to provide the means and facilities for pupils to become self supportive and make a positive contribution to the community and society as a whole.
BETHAL – Jim van Tonderskool hosted their annual golf day at Bethal Golf Club on Saturday, 15 October.
Nicholas Mahlangu came first with 41 points, D. Grobler second with 39 points and T. Dlamini was third with 38 points.
Christa Prinsloo won the women’s longest drive.
Closest to the pin was won by Lac Sewpersad and the longest drive of the day by F. Lombaard.
The prize for the most golf went to Rudolph Erasmus,

The focus this year is on improving the school’s sports facilities.
The pupils at this school are not always able to cope with the demands of mainstream schools and are equipped more adequately for their future at this school in a variety of ways.
Apart from the normal academic curriculum, they are trained in a variety of skills.
The boys are instructed in welding, woodwork, panel beating, mechanical work, plumbing and general maintenance.
The girls receive training in hairdressing, hospitality and shop and office.
Many of the pupils are accommodated in the hostel, whereas others travel daily from Secunda, Evander and Kriel.
Some of the pupils’ own creations were auctioned after the golf prize giving.
