Coal City Wizards emerge as champions

KINROSS – Witbank Coal City Wizards emerged as the Mpumalanga Women’s League champions after they defeated Nkomazi Ladies FC.
Eight teams played during the provincial women’s league play-offs at Kinross Sasol Club on Saturday, 5 November.
Goals were pouring into the nets of Nkomazi Ladies FC and the final score was 8-1. The flood of goals by City Wizards left the Nkomazi Ladies FC players frustrated and they began to lose many opportunities for scoring.
One yellow card was issued to a City Wizards player for delaying with the ball after they were awarded a free kick.
Another yellow card was given to Nkomazi Ladies FC after a player had accused the referee of insulting her.

The former Banyana Banyana player Pauline Ntuli, who is also the goalkeeper coach for City Wizards, said they are happy to be the champions of Mpumalanga and will now be preparing for the national championship that will take place in Cape Town next month.
Nonhlanhla Mtshweni, City Users’ captain, said they have won all their games since the start of the league.
“We are pleased that we will be representing our province in Cape Town and will make sure we bring the trophy home.”
Nkomazi’s goal was scored through a penalty.
City Users’ midfielder, Makgotso, wowed the crowed with her dribbling skills.
