FC Zone Mavo clinched a victory
Kgomotso impressed with his speed and control of the ball as he dribbled and passed it to the centre forward.
SECUNDA – FC Zone Mavo collected three points on Wednesday, 16 November when they beat Barberton City Stars.
The combination of left midfielder Kgomotso and the captain, Bafana (Shumi) Sibeko, created many chances for scoring goals in the first half of the game.
Barberton did not back down as their defense made it impossible for the homeboys to score goals.
Kgomotso impressed with his speed and control of the ball as he dribbled and passed it to the centre forward.
Both teams went to into half time without scoring.
In the second half, Zone Mavo’s captain conceded the ball into the nets for the first goal of the match.
Barberton City Stars’ Marcelo shot the ball towards the nets of Zone Mavo, but the goalkeeper missed it as it hit the pole and went back.
Zone Mavo’s goalkeeper was also at his best and saved many crucial goals directed into his nets.
Sibusiso Mnguni of Zone Mavo got a goal kick and sent it directly into the nets, giving his team a victory of 2-0.
Zone Mavo’s coach, Mr Lizo Mjempu, said though he was pleased with the result, he was not impressed with the players’ performance.
