Dumisani hosts Kinross Sports Day

He aims to host the event annually.

KINROSS – Some of the youth of Govan Mbeki Municipality took part in soccer and netball at Kinross Sasol Club on Saturday, 10 December.

The event was hosted by Moroka Swallows’ attacking midfielder, Dumisani (Jazz) Mbonani, who said his aim was to empower young people who have an interest in sport.

He grew up in Kinross and used to play for Thistle Grove FC.

Dumisani wanted to show young people that everything is possible through dedication and discipline.

He wants to hold this event every year and also include other sporting codes.

The event was attended by teams from Standerton, Amersfoort, eMbalenhle, Evander and Kinross.

Dumisani is currently recovering from an injury and thanked the South African National Civic Organisation for sponsoring the event, as well as his his mother for helping to organise the event.
