Cyclists compete in Time Trial Series
Only seven road cyclists and seven mountain bike cyclists took part in Sunday’s race and the entries for the last and fourth event in the series will close on Sunday, 3 June.
SECUNDA – Road cyclists and mountain bike cyclists took to the road and the dirt on Sunday, 27 May for the second last event of the time trial series hosted by Sasol Cycling Club.
Adriaan Lambrechts was the fastest road cyclist on Sunday and completed the 20km in 28 min 15 sec.
Jaco Nortje finished second with a time of 31 min 52 sec, and Steve Viviers finished third with a time of 33 min 25 sec.
Lambrechts is currently the leader in the series.
Werner Luddick was the fastest mountain bike cyclist in the 15km on the dirt road with a time of 27 min 52 sec.
Steve Viviers finished second in the mountain bike challenge on Sunday with a time of 30 min 52 sec, and Peter Randall finished third with a time of 31 min 22 sec.
Luddick is currently in the lead in the mountain bike category.

All proceeds will be donated to the Highveld Ridge SPCA and it will be handed over at the end of June during the cycling club’s annual general meeting.
