Taekwando students show off their skills

The World Champs will be held in Little Rock, Arkansas in the United States of America from 2 to 17 July.

SECUNDA – Seven members of Victory Taekwondo in Secunda have been chosen to compete in the World Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas in the United States of America in July.

The club held a fundraising event in conjunction with the Oregon Spur in Secunda recently to raise money and awareness for their trip abroad. The team donned aprons and order books and acted as shadow waiters at the Spur for the evening to eventually receive 10 per cent of the night’s earnings.

The team selected for the World Champs are Willem van Heerden, Dezané van Heerden, Danie van den Berg, Cornelia Bosch, Erika Vorster, JP Vorster and Sasha-Lee Vorster who is only four years old.

The World Champs will be held from 2 to 17 July.
