325 athletes takes on the Secunda parkrun
There were 115 first time runners who took part in the 5km parkrun on Saturday.
SECUNDA – Dirk van den Heever was the first runner to make it over the goal post at the 270th Secunda parkrun on Saturday, 25 January.
He appears not to be a registered parkrunner and therefore his time was not clocked. Amos Moloi came second among the 325 runners and walkers in a time of 20 minutes and 11 seconds, followed by Johan Joubert in a time of 20 min 58 sec.
Liané Smit, running in the junior category, was the first woman home in a time of 22 minutes and 33 seconds. Ben Espach completed his 50th parkrun.
There were 115 first time runners who took part in the 5km parkrun on Saturday. A total of 45 runners improved their personal best times.
Gwyneth Badenhorst, Danie Bentz, Lorraine Botha, Marius griffin, Grant Heimann, Willem Joubert, Zerilda Joubert, Xolile Khanyile, Lettie le Roux, Louis le Roux, Johan Lloots, Jackie Minnie, Cecile Moore, Dean Moore, Eddie Dulke, Nettie Mulke, Celia Reyneke, Johann Reyneke, Kobus Roets, Isabella Stromvig, Riaan Venter and Collen Williams worked as volunteers on Saturday.
