Koketjo Gumbo wins 2020 PWC Kosmos 3-in-1
Dineo Manamela, with a time of 05:51:11, of Entsika Athletics Club, was the women’s division winner.
SECUNDA – This year’s PWC Kosmos 3-in-1 saw runners compete in the 42.2km, 21.1km and 10 km marathon which took off at Kamp Oasis Lake Umuzi on Saturday, 7 March.
The overall 73.3km and this year’s PWC Kosmos 3-in-1 winner with an overall time of 4:33,27 is Koketjo Gumbo of the Nedbank Running Club in Limpopo. He is also the men’s champ.
Dineo Manamela, with a time of 5:51,11 of Entsika Athletics Club, was the women’s divisional winner. Mandla Nkabinde from Anglo American, with a time of 2:36,16, was this year’s winner for the men’s division and Annika Prinsloo from the Middelburg Marathon Club, with a time of 2:58,18, was the winner for the women’s division in the 42.2km marathon.
Sindile Kytlwiniso with a time of 1:14,33 and Natasja Malan running in at 1:34,17 were the winners of the 21.1km race.
Katleho Moloi completed and won the 10km race in 31,31 minutes. Lou-Ann Smit was the first woman home in 40,55 minutes.

Second and third place winners for the 42.2km men were Koketjo Gumbo (2:36,16) and Vusi Nhlabatsi (2:38,51). Second and third place winners for the 42.2km women were Mitsie van der Westhuizen (3:08,08) and Lene Swart (3:11,37).
Second and third place winners for the 21.1km men were Maseko Ntuthuko (1:16,25) and Lebohang Matima (1:17,15).
Second and third place women winners for the 21.1km were Helena Joubert (1:41,20) and Tegan Edwards (1:45,51).
The men’s second and third place winners for the 10km were Katleho Khanye (32,07) and Kleinboy Matsemela (32,18).
Women’s second and third place winners for the 10km were Michelle Parkes (41,37) and Helena Joubert (44,11).
Overall 73.3km men’s second and third place went to Clement Modisha (4:43,46) and Kori Seshonene (4:52,33).
The overall 73.3km women’s second and third places went to Anja Heenop (6:03,59) and Bheku Sithole (6:13,12).
The Kosmos 3-in-1 was one of the qualifiers for the 95th Comrades Marathon that will happen on Sunday, 14 June.
This year will see the 90km, 47th down run begin in Pietermaritzburg and finish at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
