Regulations for cycling during level 3 of the lockdown announced
Exercise is now permitted between the hours of 6am and 6pm daily.

HIGHVELD – With the nationwide institution of Level 3 from 1 June, Cycling SA encouraged all cyclists to ensure that they are aware of the regulations and abide by them at all times.
Exercise is now permitted between the hours of 6am and 6pm daily.
A person must, when in a public place, wear a cloth face mask or a homemade item that covers the nose and mouth.
The current regulations do not give clear guidance if the 5km-regulation is still in place.
When it comes to clubs and cycling organisations, they must be aware that no organised group rides may take place under the Level 3 restrictions.
There is no directive from government yet as to what is considered an “organised group”, but you are urged to keep the number of people riding at a single time to a minimum, or alternately to consult with your local police for clarity.
No group training or events are permitted for professionals unless the facility or event organiser obtains permission from government or Cycling South Africa.
The use of roads and public mountain bike trails are permitted for exercise.
Mountain bike parks, SANPARK trails, track and BMX facilities may open subject to meeting Level 3 regulations as provided by the government.
