Graceland hosts second Cast & Swing event at Secunda
Golfers André Blom and Johan Hanekom took first place with a score of 48, while the twins Marnus and Gerdus Alberts took first place in the angling event with seven points.
SECUNDA – Perfect weather and clear skies contributed to a great day spent on the golf course and fishing spots on Heritage Day last week. Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club hosted their second Cast and Swing day, on Thursday, 24 September.
It was all in the name of fun, laughter and yes, some competitiveness, when golfers took to the greens and fishermen to the dams. Although some were new to the putting and casting, all enjoyed the event.
Golfers André Blom and Johan Hanekom took first place with a score of 48, while the twins Marnus and Gerdus Alberts took first place in the angling event with seven points. The team’s overall score was 55.
Second place went to golfers Jan van Wyk and Wallie van Staden with a score of 50. Anglers Jannie Pieters and Anton Nell pushed up the score to an overall of 54 points.
