Rope skipper from eMbalenhle wins People’s Choice Award

SECUNDA – Keolebogile Mokolopo won the People’s Choice Sports Star of the Year award at the Mpumalanga Sports Awards held in Johannesburg on Sunday, 27 September.
The local rope skipper said she was not expecting to win this award however she is grateful to God for it and for the talent He has given her. She said no one can achieve success without the help of others. She thanked everyone who supported and voted for her.
“The People’s Choice Award is huge. The public vote and decide who gets it and you have decided I am worthy to win it. I am so grateful for that.
“Looking back, every hurdle I had to overcome was so worth it. The passion, the love I have for this sport and developing it, is beyond words,” said Mokolopo.
She said this award is a motivation to do even more and to do better.
Mokolopo quoted Thessalonians 5:16-18: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
