Racers show off at Amsterdam Raceway
In die motorcycle division, Johan Oosthuizen with his Suzuki 750 was first and Danie Saaiman also on a Suzuki 750 followed in the second place.
Racers enjoyed the chance to show what they are made of at the Outcast Racing event on 4 October at the raceway just outside of Amsterdam.
The event gave racers the opportunity to see how fast they can push their cars and motorcycles on a quarter mile (400m).
In the rear-wheel drive class, Kobus Stander with his Nissan 1400 Turbo took the first place, followed by Hannes Volschenk in his Nissan 1400 in second place and Chris Visser third.
Ash Maharaj with his Audi RS3 took the first place in the all-wheel drive class, with Rothman Motors in the Subaru 2.0 in the second place and William Maritz in his Subaru WRX came in third.
Jose Teixeirra won the front-wheel drive class in his Bantam Turbo, followed by Louise Steyn with his Volkswagen Caddy.

Robbie Wheelan in his Volkswagen Golf Turbo took the third place.

The organisers, Messrs Robbie Wheelan, Jovan Nel, Tiaan Nel and JP Welgemoed thanked all the racers and supporters who made the event a success.
They are planning to host another event soon, and invited residents to keep an eye out for the dates on their Facebook page, Outcast Racing.
