Shooters excel at competition outside Trichardt

Louwrens van Schaik wins several divisions.

TRICHARDT – Pieter Bouwer won the open category of the Mpumalanga Shooting League held at the Teks Shooting Club on Saturday, 6 March.

He scored 735 points.

Adré Weideman finished second in this category with 336 points.

Mitch McAllister won the pistol calibre carbine division with 682 points while Louwrens van Schaik finished second with 632 points and Irving Stevenson third with 593 points.

Gideon Botha won the production division with 680 points while Rohan Wiese finished second with 664 points and Abrie Preller third with 661 points.

In the production optic division, Jean Engelbrecht walked away as the winner with 703 points while Hendrik Engelbrecht finished second with 667 points and Koos Smit finished third with 580 points.

JC Potgieter won the standard division with 705 points while Kyle van Deventer finished second with 597 points and Mark Neves third with 538 points.

In the combined division, Bouwer once again walked away as the winner with 691 points while Potgieter finished second with 624 points and Jean Engelbrecht third with 603 points.

Teks Shooting Club held a club competition on Sunday, 7 March and Van Schaik won the mini rifle division with 724 points while Lorenzo Belmonte finished second with 496 points and Mark Kruger third with 449 points.

Cobus Mouton won the pistol calibre carbine division with 735 points and Kobus de Wet finished second with 416 points.

Nico van den Berg won the production division with 666 points while Trevor Marsh finished second in this category with 647 points and Hennie de Beer finished third with 588 points.

Fanie Pretroius was the winner in the production optics division with 715 points while Martin van Zyl finished second with 535 points and Ridwaan Patel third.

Van Schaik won the combined division as well with 685 points while Mouton finished second with 674 points and Pretorius third with 612 points.
