Ermelo RC racers have a go at track day

“The competition was super, the other racers fought to get on the podium, but the Middelburg club members were just as good,” Breytenbach, member of Ermelo RC Club, said.

Ermelo Remote Control (RC) Club left no stone unturned as they competed in a track day in Middelburg on 16 May.

The club entered eight of their vehicles in the competition.

Oros van der Walt was awarded second place and Riaan van Rooyen took third position in the Euro Truck-division.

Wors Breytenbach took the second title in the Open Super Stock-division with Van der Walt in third place.

“The competition was super, the other racers fought to get on the podium, but the Middelburg club members were just as good,” Breytenbach, member of Ermelo RC Club, said.

Racers, Kenny Collins and Van der Walt cleared the decks and for the first time, tested their new RC vehicles for the new Gauteng on-road RC (GRC) series.

Van der Walt won and Collins took second place.
