Christo Botha wins handgun club shoot in Ermelo
The overall winner for the day with a time of 88 seconds was Christo Botha in the specialty division.
Ermelo Defensive Pistol Club (EDPC) hosted a handgun club shoot at the Vlakfontein Shooting Range on June 26.
Mr Gert Janse van Rensburg, the match director and chairperson of EDPC, presented five challenging stages to the participants.
They were a mix of scenario and standard exercise stages.
The competitors enjoyed the match, even though careful planning was needed at some stages.
Two prospective shooters also attended the match and did exceptionally well for their first try.

In second place was Renier Strydom and in third place was Victor Borges.
The top three shooters were all within two seconds of one another.
The rest of the top-ten places were taken by junior shooter GP Janse van Rensburg, Cecelia Beukes, Chris Pienaar, Loekie Jansen van Rensburg, Brendan de Villiers and Gert Janse van Rensburg.
The most accurate shooter for the day was Beukes.
Additionally a classifier stage was also shot by competitors.
