Secunda’s Bembe wins first MMA bout as a professional fighter

SECUNDA – Vincent Bembe, member of the Dominators Den and mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, won his first bout as a professional fighter during the EFC87 Championship held in Gauteng on Saturday, July 3, when he beat his opponent, Given Majuba.

Bembe began training in MMA in 2017 as an amateur fighter and decided to go professional this year.

He is proud of winning his first professional fight.

Bembe said he chose to do this sport without fear or favour. He has a love and passion for MMA fighting.

“This is just the beginning of my career,” said Bembe.

He felt like giving up during his amateur fights and said he had many difficulties, but because of his love of the sport and having the drive to succeed, he pushed through and continued to practice and take part in fights.

He thanked his teammates and his coach, Cedric ‘The Dominator’ Doyle, who is also an MMA fighter and the owner of Dominators Den, for their support.

“We are brothers, we have different mothers and fathers, but we are one in the almighty Jesus Christ,” said Bembe.

He also thanked his sponsors, Max Tyres in Kriel and Die Wilds Pot in Secunda, who made his debut at the EFC 87 Championship possible.

“I believe we are all given different gifts in life.

“I want to urge all young boys and girls, the new generation, to find their gifts.

“If I can do it, so can you.

“Stay positive towards your goals and remember, there are always people who will be there to help you grow and mould you towards your dreams, but choose them wisely.

“Nothing is impossible through Christ.”
