Bush Runners Ermelo Hiking Club enjoys their first hike
According to Ms Bobby van Strijp, founder of the Bush Runners hiking club, the group completed the 7km Matumi Trail, which included several river crossings over wooden bridges, natural pools to cool down in and a spectacular cascade waterfall.
The Bush Runners Ermelo Hiking Club enjoyed its first hike in the mystic Nelshoogte Forest Reserve, situated 30km from Barberton.
In the reserve lies the Queen Rose Hiking Trail, tucked away among the mountains of the eastern escarpment.
According to Ms Bobby van Strijp, founder of the Bush Runners hiking club, the group completed the 7km Matumi Trail, which included several river crossings over wooden bridges, natural pools to cool down in and a spectacular cascade waterfall.
“Bush Runners is a diverse and inclusive group of hiking enthusiasts who are interested in morning, day and overnight hikes and the occasional backpacking trip,” she said.
They enjoy exploring Mpumalanga and neighbouring provinces, and discovering the outdoor adventures nature has to offer, right on their doorstep.
