Nearly 100 participants at parkrun in Standerton
Volunteers are urgently needed at this free event to ensure it adheres to regulations.
A total of 99 participants took part in the parkrun at the Standerton River Park on Saturday, November 14.
There were 104 participants who took on the 5km the previous Saturday.
Siyabonga Kamohelo. a learner from Khula-Sakhile Secondary School, was first over the finish line in in time of 16 min 53 sec.
Tarina Maree completed her 100th parkrun and was cheered on when reaching the finish line.
Volunteers are urgently needed at this free event to ensure it adheres to regulations.
They do not necessarily have to be runners and walkers since people are needed to scan barcodes as well.
Chantelle van Tonder, Gabriella de Oliveira, Hugh Robertson, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Jean Robertson, Marjorie Uys, Preyanka Dorasamy, Renette de Sousa, Rishan Ramsaroop, Rowan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Renburg and Thyler Welgemoed were thanked for facilitating the event the past weekend.
The parkrun takes place at the park every Saturday at 8:00.
