South African teams prepare for Egypt and UAE

Karatekas show skills at training camp in Kinross.

Karatekas countrywide recently  attended a national training camp at the Sasol Recreation Club in Krinross.

Coaches from all over South Africa showed members of the national karate team and development athletics the ropes to make sure the South African team is ready for their next tournaments.

The Protea Karate team will take part in the World Karate Championship that was held from 16 to 21 November in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the UFAK African Continental Championship that will be held later this year in Egypt.

The Karate South Africa Mpumalanga Association organised the training camp on Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31.

The fighters had to go through a selection process to become part of these two teams.
